The ride

Four steps.

  1. Step 1

    Find a scooter.

    The map shows what is near you and how much battery it has.

  2. Step 2

    Scan to unlock.

    Point your phone at the QR code on the stem.

  3. Step 3

    Stay inside the service area.

    Roads and marked lanes only, never pavements.

  4. Step 4

    Park, then end the trip.

    Finish in a marked parking zone, upright and clear of doorways. The trip charges until you end it in the app.

Safety

Rules, not suggestions.

  • Wear a helmet.
  • One rider per scooter.
  • 18 or older, with valid identification.
  • Never ride under the influence of alcohol, or of medication that affects your concentration or alertness.
  • Give way to pedestrians.
  • Roads and marked lanes only.
  • Stay visible after dark.
  • Report a fault instead of riding on.

Local rules

Local rules.

  • Service area. Ride and end trips inside the marked Damascus service area only.
  • No-ride zones. The pedestrian core of the Old City, including Souq al-Hamidiyah and the approaches to the Umayyad Mosque. Push the scooter through on foot.
  • Slow zones. Old City lanes, Damascus University, market streets.
  • Parking. Marked zones only. Never block a doorway, a ramp or a crossing.
  • Planned operating hours. 07:00 to 23:00 once service starts, with a ride under way at 23:00 able to finish. Not yet in force.
  • Pavements. Not permitted. Use the road edge or a marked lane.
  • Local instructions. Instructions from the local authority and temporary street closures take precedence over these rules and over the app.
